Housing

The Gorge Connection has two housing facilities available for students. A 3-bedroom/2 bath apartment in Oak Hill (near Beckley) and a 4-bedroom/2 bath house in Muddlety (near Summersville). Each location is furnished with TV/DVD, microwave, coffee pot, dishes, pots/pans, alarm clocks, computer/internet/printer, etc. Housing is co-ed. Linens are not provided; students will need to bring bedding for twin-size beds. A $20 housing deposit is required.

Oak Hill apartment

(please follow these directions...directions from the internet or through GPS may get you lost)

Oak Hill Apartment – 140 West Main Street Oak Hill, WV 25901

* From Summersville:
Take Rt. 19 South to Oak Hill, passing by Fayetteville.
Take Main Street exit (after Summerlee and Oyler exits).
Turn right off exit.
Pass Post Office and Wendy’s on the left.
The apartment is in the corner brick building on the right (Bessie’s Floral on the street level).
To park, you can …
Turn left into Chase Bank parking lot and park behind that building.
Or, turn right onto Oak Hill Avenue & park behind the apt building in Lot #19 (if available).

* From Lewisburg:
From Interstate 64/77, take Rt. 19 North to Oak Hill.
Drive North on Route 19, take the “Downtown” Oak Hill exit on the right.
At end of ramp, turn left, crossing back over four-lane.
At end of bridge, turn right. This is Main Street, Oak Hill.
Go through two stoplights.
The apartment is in the corner brick building on the left with a white awning on the side.
You will see Bessie’s Floral on the street level.
To park, you can …
Turn right into Chase Bank parking lot and park behind that building.
Or, turn left onto Oak Hill Avenue & park behind the apt building in Lot #19 (if available).

* From Charleston:
Take Interstate 64/77 East
Take Mossy/Oak Hill/612 Exit (following the Mahan exit).
At the end of the exit ramp, turn left driving under the interstate.
At the next stop sign turn right into Rt. 612.
Go through Mossy, Dothan, Carlyle, about seven miles.
At the next stop sign, turn left. Follow this curvy road towards the town of Oak Hill.
You will come to a stoplight at Main Street - turn left onto Main Street.
Go through two stoplights.
The apartment is in the corner brick building on the left with a white awning on the side.
To park, you can …

From Morgantown

Take Interstate 79 South to the Beckley / Route 19 exit.
Take Route 19 South to Summersville.
Take the Muddlety/Craigsville exit.
At the bottom of the ramp, turn left.
Drive approximately 4 tenths of a mile and turn right onto Rt. 55.
Drive another 5 miles and the house will be on your right.
Address on the white mailbox in front of the house is: 5640.

From Charleston

Take Interstate 79 North to Summersville.
