What did you like about the retreat?
Networking (4)
Others interested in Doddridge County. There should be more of these
meetings involving school, community, docs, etc. before Doddridge is added.
Meeting and hearing ideas from others in the health care field
Interaction between the partners
Small group interaction
Opportunity for RHEP partners to envision new realities, realize that
barriers are created by individuals, to energize ourselves and realize how
much we have accomplished together.
Wide range of representatives from each area very open atmosphere- great
speakers.
Combination of all individuals coming together to discuss current issues
and possible solutions
Judy's wonderful, powerful approach (2)
Working in small groups with competent facilitators.
Excellent turnout and enthusiasm.
What could have been improved?
Too much time spent on teaching people to work as a group. Need more time
to spend in discussion of groups. (2)
More discussion time relevant to topics
More open discussion at the end. Go from 1 group to 2 groups together and
then 4 groups until everyone was together.
Explain what was going to be done with information was it a goal? Is it
to be shared? I was a little confused with the goal of group sessions.
Information/ideas from the first group sessions had nothing or very little
to do with the second group sessions purpose. The connection between the
two was lost.
More time dedicated to actually resolving issues that need addressed within
RHEP (2)
Clearer directions when the two groups came together.
How will this retreat be helpful to you in your job/role within RHEP?
Contacts and Networking (4)
Understanding each partner's role and position better. (2)
Greater understanding of vision of RHEP for not only myself but also
administrator, on-site clinical director.
Having so many partners participate in the retreat allows for an
understanding of process and to know that we must assume personal
responsibility in our relationships within the partners.
Information about the RHEP organizations. Many people truly involved in
these students and their education.
Learned a great deal about roles each of the partners play in the
program. Also learned that an orientation would have been beneficial for
any new partner joining the program.
More patience, understanding, etc.
Any grassroots, value-based work is helpful to an organization.
I was disappointed with the summary we received because I failed to see how
that really guides us, so I was pleased that we are developing a VISION
team to address this.
How were the facilities/location of the retreat?
OK (2)
Good (2)
Very appropriate (2)
Great (2)
Fine (3)
Wonderful
Somewhat difficult to communicate in the larger session
Other Comments?
Too much time spent teaching how to work in small groups. I thought too
much emphasis was placed on touchy, feely, stuff.
Continue to review and incorporate our new vision.
Really glad I had the chance to participate in this very important to see
behind the scenes.
Need to be careful with classification of event retreat normally means casual.
A final display with new vision statement and the completed map will be
wonderful.
Enjoyed group work with focus questions.
