Respondees:     Jim Welshonce, Steve Thomas, Sarah Lee Neal, Bill Shires, David Hughes

 

Requests from Rivers & Bridges, Winding Roads, Mountain Health Partners, Western Counties and Southern Counties consortia for support to assist them in attending and presenting at the Annual CCPH conference to be held in Washington, DC , April 29-May 2, 2000.  These requests were verbally submitted prior to the 3% budget reduction instituted by the Governor on January 10, 2000. 

 

The committee responded via e-mail with a unanimous vote of acceptance for all requests.  Southern Counties received one negative vote but their request was approved with 4 "yes" votes. 

 

The funds will be transferred to WVU Office of Rural Health and reimbursed to the travelers directly.  This will avoid amending the affiliation agreements for a third time this year along with the delay in payment that always follows such a financial amendment.  Both Jim Schneider from Marshall and Larry Kelley from WVSOM approved this method.
